Thank you once again for an interesting newsletter.

Finally had time for a cup of Rooibos tea and cake, and your words.

That empty chair at the Opera House during a bogus trial did send shivers down my spine.

I'm certain that if I had lived in Ukraine during that period, the chair would have been for me.

We are also victims of propaganda here, but not on the same scale.

We are battling for a new government on July 4th, and if we succeed, it will not change our iron resolve with regards Ukraine.

Thank you for your words and pictures.

Hoping you can enjoy a peaceful week.

Take care. G

Just a suggestion for a title. Forgot it in my first comment.

'Ukraine - Russia's 1930's propaganda war'

Thank you, Graham. It is a good title for the letter but I plan (perhaps) to have a series of them about different periods. So I am considering the title of the series of letters.

Oh. I missed that bit.

Good luck with the project and the title.

I'm certain you will find the perfect one.

Take care. G

Thank you Yara! Some very good news, good job boys, it feels like something is shifting. It’s fascinating (& still shocking) to read of trial of the Union for the Liberation of Ukraine. We know these trials happened but to read of a specific case really brings it home. We need to be reminded too, that democracy is so precious, we still have to fight for it. Thank you also for the lovely moody (in a cool way😎) images, love that cockerel 😊. Wishing you a positive week ❤️

Thank you Yara for this most interesting letter. At least there were some positive news during the week.

I find it fascinating that ru always seems to need those big shows (like pu's "re-election") in an attempt to legitimise their cruelty and imperialism. This is for foreign audience I presume?

Just saw a good clip on TikTokbout the Ems decree forbidding the of Ukrainian in written publications and in public events like plays etc

You've always had ti fight for your culture against the imperialist.

Many hugs .

Thank you, Mory, for your kind reply. Yeah, Ems decree was hard. I need to write about it someday.

Many hugs back 🫂

Excited to see the excerpts from Soviet newspapers! That kind of firsthand historical information is not available in many places.

They always try to remove the institutions. Keep people from knowledge. “The verdict convicted 45 Ukrainian scientists, doctors, writers, priests, teachers, and students.”
